Ducati and Vmoto CPx: a World Champion partnership!
2023 will be remembered as a year of massive rewards for Vmoto, but also for one of its most prestigious partners. Ducati Corse, the racing division of Ducati, has in fact collected victories in the three major world championships for sports motorbikes, winning the world title in MotoGP, World Superbike and World Supersport.
A faithful companion in the worldwide adventures of the riders and mechanics in red has been the Vmoto CPx, Ducati Corse’s official electric scooter, used during every race weekend for moving around the race paddock. Ducati was not the only one to make a name for itself at world level, however: Vmoto, too, won its own trophy with its CPx, setting a Guinness World Record!
On Sunday 26 November, at the “Ricardo Tormo” circuit in Valencia, Pecco Bagnaia was crowned MotoGP World Champion riding a Ducati for the second year in a row, at the end of an unpredictable and exciting season! Vmoto was alongside Bagnaia by customising his CPx paddock scooter with a livery inspired by the Ducati Lenovo Team’s Desmosedici GP race machine and distinguished, of course, by his ever-present number 1 on the front shield.
On Friday 3 November, only a few days before the triumph of Bagnaia and Ducati in MotoGP, Vmoto had achieved an equally extraordinary result: on the Tazio Nuvolari circuit in northern Italy, CPx PRO and a team of five riders and journalists won the new Guinness World Record for the ‘greatest distance covered by an electric scooter in 24 hours’! An accolade that rewards the performance and reliability of CPx PRO, achieved by covering no less than 1931 kilometres!
Last but not least, Ducati Corse also triumphed in the World Championships dedicated to production-derived bikes, with Alvaro Bautista taking the title in Superbike, repeating the 2022 title, and Nicolò Bulega winning in Supersport. Also for the Aruba.it Racing Ducati SBK Team, Vmoto has thought of a unique customisation of the CPx, which picks up the colours of the fabulous Panigale and bears the race numbers of all the team’s riders!
In 2023, the Vmoto CPx proved its worth in every field, proving itself the perfect mobility solution for every kind of travel and usage. And if the Ducati Corse teams, constantly engaged in trips all over the world, appreciated the design and solidity of the CPx, with the achieving of the Guinness World Record Vmoto showed the world the performance and reliability in every condition of this extraordinary scooter.
